As Vice Chair and rising 2011 Chairman of the Board of the Atlanta 50 Plus Housing Council of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association, Jim Chapman, Co-Founder and CFO of Stonecrest Homes, presented to the Board in late Spring of 2010 the idea of the Council hosting a day-long event. The event would an opportunity for members of the Council and Board to educate other members and non-members of the GAHBA as to the merits of the 50 Plus housing market. Out of these discussions was born the idea of the First Annual 50 Plus University Day being held on October 14th from 8 am to 5 pm at the Cobb Galleria.
