Stonecrest BlogJim Chapman Asked To Speak At Active Adult ConferenceJim Chapman, Co-Founder and CFO of Stonecrest Homes, has been asked to speak at the National Active Retirement Association’s 11th Annual Business Conference as a regional expert on active adult development, design and building. This will be the second time Mr. Chapman has been a featured speaker at this conference which has been dubbed the “Power Tools Conference;” and is the place to learn about and exchange ideas regarding the fastest growing segment of the consumer housing market – 55 Plus. His focus will be on the successful design and development of active adult housing product. Stonecrest Homes is currently pursuing three different active adult building opportunities in the greater Atlanta area: one in Gwinnett county, one in Henry county and one in Houston county.
Mr. Chapman is also the Founder and President of Jim Chapman Communities, an Atlanta active adult developer and builder. Jim Chapman Communities is comprised of seven active adult developments and it is on track to sell and close over 55 homes in 2010. Mr. Chapman has designed and built numerous active adult homes employing cutting edge universal design criterion and maintenance free materials. His communities have won Community of the Year three times from the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association. He has been a speaker at the Southeast Building Conference, the International Builder’s Show and the National 50 Plus Housing Symposium. In 2011 he will serve as the Chairman of the Board of the Atlanta 50 Plus Housing Council of the GAHBA.
