Each year the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Sales and Marketing Council recognizes outstanding achievement in building, sales and marketing for the North Georgia real estate industry. Stonecrest Homes Atlanta, Inc. received the Gold Obie Award for Best Website for a Builder.

Stonecrest Homes Looking Forward to 2011

2010 has proven to be an exciting year for Stonecrest Homes Atlanta, Inc. Since mid-year Stonecrest has started ten new homes and closed three of them in three communities across north Atlanta – McIntosh Placein Gwinnett, Harmony on the Lakes Palisades in Cherokee and Eagle View in Cherokee.

Stonecrest was founded by Charles Heiser Jr. and Jim Chapman. Charles was recently the Division President of a national homebuilder and Jim Chapman is the President and Founder of Jim Chapman Communities. Jim and Charles spent most of the year developing four new series of plans – the Estate Series, Executive Series, Haven Series and Craftsman Series. They also established their new office in Vinings on Cumberland Parkway, set up their operation on the FAST computerized building system and hired several key office and field staff. They also cemented professional relationships with key stakeholders such as Randy Greene of RAN Management, Betsy Sheppard of Gilbert & Sheppard, Bob Romano of Coldwell Banker NRT, Shirley Gary of About Sales, Gigi Giannoni with Evolv and Silvia Taylor with WR Starkey Mortgage.

Betsy Sheppard Named GAHBA Council Chair of the Year

Betsy L. Sheppard of Gilbert & Sheppard Group was named the 2010 Council Chair of the Year by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. Betsy currently serves as chair of the Atlanta 50+ Housing Council where she oversees all the council’s activities, its budget and helps promote council events.

Betsy has more than 28 years of real estate marketing and advertising experience.  Her and her company have received several OBIE Awards and national awards recognizing her for her marketing expertise.

Jim Chapman Named Chairman of Atlanta 50+ Housing Council

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced the 2011 Atlanta 50+ Housing Council Board of Directors this week.  Jim Chapman was named Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Council and Betsy Sheppard of Gilbert & Sheppard Group was named Parliamentarian.

Stonecrest Teams Up With B Sheppard Consulting

March 10, 2010.   We finalized our deal with Betsy Sheppard of B. Sheppard Consulting.  Betsy will serve as the outsourced Marketing Director for Stonecrest Homes. 

Betsy has over 25 years of experience in marketing and business consulting with builders and developers.  She and her team have been instrumental in creating and turbo-charging a number of builders from 0 to over 500 homes per year in a very short period of time. 

“Betsy has worked with me at Jim Chapman Communities since its inception in 2005 and I consider her a very good personal friend,”  says Jim Chapman of Stonecrest.

“We’re looking forward to working with Jim and Charles and the Stonecrest Homes team,” Betsy said.  “It’s always a lot of fun to bring a new company to life!”
